Hey everyone! Well, this will probably be my last post before we leave for outreach. Life has been going pretty good. We had our last week of lecture this week. Our speaker for the week was Ken Lentz. He spoke on motivational gifts. We did a bunch of tests, and they are supposed to have given us a good representation of what are main motivational gifts are. Personally, my top three in order are Teaching, Serving, Giving. I didn't agree with it at first, but after a few days of other people telling me that they agree with it and showing me examples, i think that the test turned out pretty accurate. So yah, the week went really good. We leave on Monday the 1st for Thailand. We'll be flying from Montrose to Denver, Denver to San Francisco, San Fran to Tokyo, Tokyo to Bangkok. We'll be taking a 12-hour bus ride from Bangkok to Chaing Rai where we'll be working for the first two weeks. I'm not sure what city we'll be working in after that, but it'll be in an orphanage. We'll be in Thailand for six weeks, we'll come back to the base for a couple days, and then we'll go to Navajo land in Arizona and New Mexico for 4 weeks. I'll very much appreciate all your prayers, and i'll do my best to post on here sometime while i'm overseas. I love you all, and i can't wait to get back to see you all!!!

Hey everyone. This will be a rather sobering post. Some crazy things have been happening lately, and they could really use some prayer. First, there was a stabbing at the High School in Montrose. I won't elaborate on it other than that a girl was stabbed in the back of the neck, underwent surgery, and is recovering.
Rod Wilson, the speaker we had on Intercession and Spiritual warfare a couple weeks ago, went to the emergency room with an aneurysm in the back of his brain. He's not in good shape, went through surgery this afternoon, and we're waiting on more updates.
Last thing, please please please pray for Megan's family. Her mom has a medical problem. That's about all i can say. So just please pray for them.
That's about it. Thanks everyone. God bless. Smile.

Hey everyone! I'm really sorry it's been so long since i've posted. It's just that lately when i've gotten free time, i've really just wanted to relax. A lot has happened since i posted last. For one, Doug left the base. There's a lot surrounding his departure and it's really something that needs to be kept to the people on the base, so i won't go into that. I do think he'll be back though. In other news, we've had two new people come to the base. Erin, a mission builder, and Michelle, on base staff. Thus far, they seem really really nice. Ok, story time. So the other day, Linda sent me up to DUDA to get two differently colored dry-erase markers. So i got them, brought them back and a couple hours later, there was something new in the dining room. It's a board with the names of the entire DTS team including the DTS staff, with dollar amounts under lecture, and under outreach. When i first saw it, i started worrying hard-core. I thought that it was a representation of how much we'd payed on our lecture and outreach phase. So when i saw less than $700 on lecture and only $1800 under outreach, i nearly had a heart attack. A week or so went by, and then someone explained the board during the announcements after dinner. It actually shows how much we have left to pay. So now, i look at that board and am very thankful for all of you who've given so much to me. I owe you all a lot. Right now, i'm at the GO Conference in Estes Park, CO. I didn't actually know where we'd be staying in Estes Park, so when i got to the place, it blew me away. For those of you who read this who attended Power Surge in Estes Park, it's the same YMCA. When i got here, the memories just started flooding back. This was the beginning of so many things. Things like the cup game. Things like people going swimming and walking back to their room in the cold and their hair freezing. This is where the hand-raising thing started. For those of you who don't know what that is, we have another story time. So one time, Ryan Flynt was sitting around a table in the dining hall. He was trying to explain some things to the guys from Trinity, but wasn't getting a whole lot of cooperation. So all of the sudden, he just raised his hands in the air and held them there. Eventually, everyone at the table did the same thing and when everyone had their hands up and was paying attention, Ryan said "Yay!!!", clapped his hands, and then proceeded to tell them what he had to tell them. So for the rest of the time, we would go around to random tables, sit down, and put our hands in the air. When everyone at the table did the same, we cheered, clapped, and moved on to another table. A couple of times we had the entire dining hall with their hands in the air. Now at youth group, it's a big tradition. Good stuff. By the way, could you all be praying for Sarah Reynolds? She's in Nicaragua right now. Thanks everyone. I need to get some sleep. God bless. Love you all! Smile!
